['krɪstjən kəʊə'lɪʃn, englisch »christlicher Bündnis«], amerikanisch christliche Sammlungsbewegung, 1989 von Pat Robertson gegründet; versteht sich als konservative Bewegung zur Erneuerung Amerikas als »christliche Nation«; tritt in öffentlichen Kampagnen gegen liberale Politik- und alternative Lebenskonzepte auf und setzt ihnen die traditionellen Werte (Ehe, Familie, Kirche, Nation) entgegen; wurde über die USA hinaus besonders durch spektakuläre Aktionen gegen die Gesetzgebung B. Clintons zum Schwangerschaftsabbruch bekannt; unterstützt politisch die Republikanische Partei; 1995 nach eigenen Angaben rd. 1,7 Mio. Mitglieder. Kritiker sehen die Christian Coalition als wesentlichen Teil der »neuen christlichen Rechten« in den USA und werfen der Bewegung v. a. eine planmäßige »Aushöhlung« der verfassungsmäßigen Trennung von Staat und Kirche vor.
